Australian eChallenge France Overview

What you need to know:

  • Entry Requirements

The Australian eChallenge France is open to teams of two to six people to develop a business proposal for a new, previously unfunded concept. At least one team member must be a current tertiary student. More information about entry requirements can be found in the 'Eligibility' section of the terms and conditions.

  • Registration

Entry into the Australian eChallenge France opens October 2017. Registrations cost EUR 1500 per team.

  • Idea Proposal

Teams must submit an idea proposal with the view to developing a business proposal for a new, previously unfunded business concept.

Concept proposals are judged primarily on the level of innovation displayed and the commercial potential of the overall business idea.

  • Workshops
A series of workshops, presented by specialists in their various fields, are held throughout the program. The workshops guide teams through the process of developing a successful venture: from opportunity assessment through to marketing, finance, intellectual property, developing the business plan and pitching to potential investors.
  • Mentors

Teams are paired with an experienced mentor from the business community, whose knowledge is invaluable in helping to construct a model that will prove to be a sustainable, growth-oriented entrepreneurial business.

  • Concept Proposal and Semifinals Pitch

Teams must submit a concept proposal and pitch their concept to judges at the semifinal presentation.

The oral presentation allowed us to truly have our ideas rigorously scrutinised. eChallenge is the perfect way to get your foot in the door of the big, competitive world that is business.
    Richard Arnold, Pyglet Enterprises.
  • Finals Pitch

The final presentation consists of a second oral pitch. The judges are looking for innovative concepts that have an overall commercial viability based on the quality of the opportunity, the market, competitive advantage and the teams' strengths and weaknesses.

  • Awards Ceremony

The Awards Ceremony is the premier event of the Australian eChallenge. During the evening, finals teams will present their 60 second pitch to a captive audience of business, industry and community leaders. The winners are announced and the prizes are presented.
