A "marketing approach" is the starting point for the business planning process, as success revolves around whether the business can fulfil a market need or not. A basic understanding of the "marketing "concept is therefore essential as an introduction to developing a business plan.
The marketing workshop is designed to encourage participants to adopt a marketing attitude towards the entire business planning process, with the plans being developed around fulfilment of customer needs.
Finance and accounting reflect the costs and revenues of the business and is the testing mechanism that establishes whether the financial plan will provide a viable business. However, a financial plan needs to be a practical and useable document. This requires an understanding of basic financial principles.
This workshop is designed to encourage participants to view financial planning as an integral part of business planning and operating which in turn provides them with a much clearer picture of how their business is functioning.
This workshop concentrates on how to effectively present your concept to judges. Because teams have a limited time in which to present their ideas, the business presentation must be an organised product. To make a pitch more convincing, ideas and materials must be presented in the most effective sequence.
