Judges & Mentors

Judges

Judges for the Australian eChallenge represent many industries, as well as representatives from sponsor organisations.

They are professionals who dedicate many hours to reading concept proposals and business plans. At each stage of the competition, feedback to participating teams is considered essential and will occur through formal feedback and informal networking sessions, as appropriate.

For those interested in becoming an Australian eChallenge judge or mentor, please contact Zrinka Tokic , outlining your experience.

Mentors

The aim of the mentoring scheme is to assist teams with building a robust, realistic business model with a view to possible commercialisation .

Mentors are professionals who donate their time to the Australian eChallenge. These volunteers have experience with writing business plans and/or building great companies. While their free time is in short supply, mentors have pledged to help teams develop and refine their business plan.

  • Mentor Guidelines

The following mentor guidelines have been developed to provide an overview of the mentoring process and to assist mentors and teams to manage their relationship effectively:

    1. Mentors may provide a minimum of 2-3 sessions of their time, over the semi-final period, to assist an Australian eChallenge team in the preparation of their business plan. Specific time-frames will vary according to mentors' availability and team requirements.
    2. Confidentiality of team information essential to the success of the competition and mentors have agreed to keep team information confidential.
    3. The mentoring scheme will begin when mentors and teams are paired and proceed until the time that business plans are due for judging.
    4. Any difficulties arising from a mentor/team relationship will be resolved by the Australian eChallenge Organisers.
