Participating Teams 2006
In 2006 the world of echallenge continued
to spin with fresh and innovative ideas.
Twenty Five teams passed the first round of judging, winning the right
to compete in the semi-final stage at The National Wine Centre, on Wednesday
11th of October. The competition was tight for a place in the final six,
with a range of innovative ideas adding to the excitement of the competition.
The Final Day and Dinner will take place on Wednesday the 25th of October
also in the National Wine Centre, where the six semi-finalists will
compete in the final round of judging.
Controlled
Power - semi finalist
Team "Controlled Power" is developing a tamper-proof
vehicle speed limiter with parental control. This device aims to save
lives.

Creative
Advantage
Utilising the profound insights in to the discipline of marketing
gained whilst studying at the University of Adelaide, the talented and charismatic
young members of the Creative Advantage team will simultaneously solve the
oversupply problem of wine in Australia by developing new markets both domestic
and overseas, pioneer new marketing techniques previously unused by small
to medium sized businesses, and make more money than any previous winners
of this competition within a twelve month period. |
Doyle and Marin
Floor to Store is a service that will involve collecting bottled
wine from the producer, temporarily storing it in a temperature and humidity
controlled warehouse before finally delivering wine to the customer. By
offering an end-to-end service, Doyle and Marin will allow the customer to
focus solely on producing wine.

Eco Clubs
Eco Clubs, a newly formed not-for-profit organisation working in partnership
with UNESCO Clubs Australia, is encouraging businesses, councils, conservation
groups, schools and households to all register one eco goal. By doing (at
least) one eco action a year, we all play a part in helping the environment.
There are many stories of individuals and companies making a difference and
ECO Clubs Australia will share those successes. |

and extremely cost effective (2.8 cents per hr) solution to breathing easy

knowledge of travel-health (pre and post journey and whilst-away). GPs are
marketed and connected to consumers by Australia’s premiere website
in destination specific health information.

Market Interface involves a device that allows customers to overlay movies
and information on existing video displays. The system allows customised
content to be scheduled in advance and can be updated remotely via the internet.

My Lunchbox is a convenient online service for parents of school age children.
Go online, select from a range of healthy lunch combinations and arrange
delivery direct to the classroom door. The service is nutritionally
balanced, great tasting, selected and paid for in advance and best of all
hassle-free! No more rushed school mornings or last minute unhealthy

Nightlife Events
Nightlife Events is a youth brand targeted at the 18-25 demographic, which
is part of the emerging Y generation. The brand organises events (or
mobile parties) at pubs and clubs around Adelaide (and later Australia).
The brand will act as a ‘people broker’ for its target market.

is the pruning of grape vines using an autonomous robotic system. |
Virtual PT
Virtual PT (Personal Training) is a revolutionary approach to fitness and
well-being that allows people to receive personal fitness training on a one-on-one
basis online. Personal training sessions can be downloaded online in
video format or mailed as a DVD. Clients can monitor their progress
and interact with their personal trainer using the virtual PT website.

Vrome Electronics uses smart sensor technology for street pillar boxes to
detect a variety of mail such as explosives and hazardous chemicals to ensure

With increasing population density we are losing the quintessential Aussie "back
