Win a trip for up to 3 people to Microsoft Head Office in Seattle to pitch your idea
Thirty thousand new consumer products are launched each year with around 90% of them failing. A big reason for failure is making products no one wants.
Enter the Tech eChallenge so you can receive expert advice on how to develop your idea into a viable product.
Who is it for:
The Tech eChallenge is for individuals or teams with an idea for an app, software or digital content.
You do not require any software development experience to take part in this program, and even if you are a coding genius the concepts presented will help you shape your idea into a product that has the best chance of succeeding.
You can enter as an open participant or have the course count towards your degree.
What it involves:
This 12-week program is a hands-on, experiential course based around the successful innovation process developed by The Entrepreneurship, Commercialisation and Innovation Centre (ECIC), Microsoft and Enabled Solutions. In this program, you will be exposed to key techniques and processes that help uncover the important jobs that your future customers have and how your app can be designed to help them get these jobs done.
Each week you will be taken through workshops on topics ranging from entrepreneurship, market research, product idea generation and prototyping. In addition to learning from key Enabled staff, other successful South Australian Entrepreneurs will be on hand to support you through your app journey.
There is even an opportunity for selected participants demonstrating outstanding progress to attend special workshops delivered by Microsoft.
At the conclusion of the program, participants must pitch their product to a panel of judges. First prize is a trip for 3 to Microsoft HQ in Seattle to pitch your product to Microsoft executives, valued at $20,000.
How to enter:
This program is an initiative of the University of Adelaide’s Entrepreneurship, Commercialisation and Innovation Centre (ECIC) in conjunction with Microsoft.
