Student Projects

The Office of Sustainability supports and works with students and student groups on a range of sustainability awareness and footprint reduction projects.

Below are links to some active student groups on campus:

ECOS (Environmental Collective of Students)

The Environment Collective of Students (ECOS) is an active group of environmentally conscious students at The University of Adelaide. Essentially a non-hierarchical group, this collective is excited about fresh input, enthusiasm and ideas for the future! ECOS is affiliated with other SA Uni's in the Cross-Campus Environment Collective, and nationally in the Australian Student Environment Network. Past and current projects include:

  • Sustainastall - regular stall on campus promoting all things sustainable including Fair Trade, cycling and waste avoidance. 
  • Clothes Swaps - regular stall to swap clothes
  • Students of Sustainability Conference, Flinders 2010
  • ECOS also support a range of Ecoversity projects like Ride to Work Day, ReUSEathon's, O'Week and Open Day activities.

AYCC (Australian Youth Climate Coalition)

The Australian Youth Climate Coalition (almost 70,000 members Australia wide, almost 3,000 in Adelaide), are working to inspire and empower youth in solving climate change locally.

Fair Trade Collective

The Fair Trade Collective are a group promoting University supported, Fair Trade accreditation on campus. Find out more about Fair Trade here. Projects include:
