2010 Student Internship
![]()
In 2010 mid-semester break, The Office of Sustainability ran a two week paid internship program investigating the water efficiency and waste practices at the North Terrace campus of The University of Adelaide. The purpose was to gain a better understanding of the following sustainability elements:
- Water efficiency – the water efficiency of equipment and fittings, primarily in restrooms but also kitchens and catering areas.
- Waste infrastructure and practices – the type of waste collection and recycling occurring across the variety of spaces, specifically in buildings (offices, lecture theatres, laboratories etc).
Three students took part in the 2 week program and presented two well researched papers which are used by the Office of Sustainability to help prioritise footprint reduction projects.
