Entry Criteria

To be selected for this program, you must meet the following requirements:

• Be a native speaker of English or; have a minimum language proficiency of IELTS with an overall band score of at least 7 with no band score less than 6.0 or equivalent TOEFL score;
• Have completed a post secondary degree; or
• Have completed a post-secondary diploma or certificate and have previous ESL/EFL teaching experience or other relevant vocational experience.
• Have met the minimum requirements of the pre-interview task and interview.

Generally, applicants that hold a degree but lack teaching experience will be eligible for a space on the Certifcate IV TESOL.  Applicants without a degree or equivalent may be accepted if they have extensive ESL experience.  Please contact us if you are not sure if you would be eligible to apply.
