English Language Centre Refund Conditions

Please note that the University’s refund policy for international Students (http://www.adelaide.edu.au/student/finance/international/payment/refunds/) does not apply for students enrolled into the English Language Centre’s ELICOS programs (PEP and GEAP).

In case of a refund application for PEP and GEAP please refer to the information below:

Withdrawal before enrolment

Should a student withdraw after accepting their Offer of Admission but before enrolment, the student will receive a full refund of all fees paid less 10% of the total program tuition fee.

Withdrawal before census date

Should a student withdraw from their program before census date the student will receive a refund, minus 20% administration fee.

The ELC amendment to enrolment form should be used in this situation.  Please ask our staff if you require a copy of this form.

Withdrawal after the census date

Students withdrawing from their program after the census date will receive a refund on any remaining weeks of tuition in excess of ten weeks.  Students with less than ten weeks remaining on their program will therefore receive no refund.

The ELC amendment to enrolment form should be used in this situation.

For example:

Student A withdraws in the 3rd week of their 10 week program (after census date).  Result: no refund

Student B withdraws in the 4th week of their 20 week program (after census date). Result: This student has 16 weeks of tuition remaining.  Therefore, they receive a refund equivalent to 6 weeks of tuition. 

Special Circumstances

English Language centre PEP and GEAP students that feel that are forced to withdraw from their program due to compassionate or compelling reasons may be eligible to apply for a special circumstance refund.  If your application is successful you will receive a refund on any unused tuition fees.
