Li participated in a Group Study tour at The University of Adelaide commencing in September 2005. The 12 week English and TESOL Methodology program for the Dalian Education Bureau was developed as a professional development program for practicing Primary and Secondary School teachers.

Li particularly appreciated the different skills and teaching style of the various teachers in the program, "the teacher was good at making class atmosphere happy and active. I like her teaching method, especially her warmth in class, which often helps us memorize English knowledge easily."
