Step 2 - Plan your timetable

2

Use the Class Planner Worksheet to plan your timetable using the Course Planner.

  • All classes for a course are grouped together to ensure you enrol into all required classes.
  • There may be several types of classes for a course - for example a lecture, tutorial and practical.
  • There may also be an automated process set up so that when you select one class it automatically enrols you into another class (generally though you will select each related class from a list).
  • The enrolment class is the key to the whole process, you must select this class first, then you will be presented with any related classes that you need to choose.
  • You should enrol into all your classes for all semesters/terms for the upcoming year.

Course Planner Details

You should note the details about the semester/term, last day to add online, census date, last day to Withdraw No Fail and Withdraw Fail. These dates are important. If you want to drop the course, you must do so on or before the census date or you WILL incur a liability and have a WNF/WF on your record.

If in any semester enrolment numbers for a particular course are less than the minimum specified by the Faculty, the Faculty is not bound to offer that course. Any students wishing to enrol will be counselled about suitable alternatives. The availability of courses may also be conditional upon the availability of staff and resources. Faculties may set quotas for enrolment in individual courses and will publish the selection criteria for the filling of these quotas. Faculties may also restrict enrolments in individual courses in accordance with Academic Program Rules.
