Winkles and the origin of species

Professor Roger Butlin is from The University of Sheffield in the UK and he presented the first seminar in the ACEBB Seminar Series entitled "Winkles and the origin of species".  Professor Butlin used case studies including research into the gastropod Littorina saxatilis, referred to as "winkles", to explore the origin of species.  The research focusses on what initiates, drives and completes the evolution of reproductive isolation.
