ACEBB Genetics Journal Club

The ACEBB Genetics Journal Club gathers once a fortnight to discuss the latest research. Topics of selected papers include: genetic studies of natural populations; methods for acquiring and analysing genetic data; and advancements in theoretical and statistical methods.  We hope our journal club will generate stimulating discussions on these topics, with a strong forward-looking perspective. Attending academics are encouraged to mentor ACEBB's future - the students.

Join us for an informal lunchtime discussion.

When:Mondays at 12:30pm
Where:Darling Tea Room

Topics alternate between ACEBB's two genetic research themes.  To vote for your choice of scientific paper, click on the theme links below.

Theme 1: Systematics, phylogenetics & barcoding

Theme 2: Population genetics, phylogeography & landscape genetics

For each meeting, a nominated ACEBB academic will choose a student to present the paper. We aim for a 10-30 minute presentation by the student, followed by discussion. There is room for presenting ongoing research, conference visits or informal talks by visiting colleagues.

Please contact Martin Breed if you are interested in participating.
