John will talk about the basic principles of carbon capture and storage with reference to the activities occurring in Australia and around the world.

Charles will provide details of the Otway demonstration project in south-western Victoria where CO2 will be injected and stored deep underground. He will discuss the facilities, the monitoring and verification of the results of the "experiment" and the implications of such a project.
