About the Centre
Our research is distinctive due to the range of marine life we study including fish, invertebrates and plants. We focus upon the role of these organisms and their reliance within ecosystems. As a multidisciplinary research team we recognise the connectivity of our oceans with terrestrial habitats and investigate the ecology of rivers, estuaries, gulfs, and open coasts using a catchment approach. Our researchers respond to national and international research priorities for marine habitat management providing evidence based advice for policy development and governance strategies. The MBP has the capacity and expertise to encompass research into very large areas of coast over extended periods of time.
Where is the Marine Biology Program
