Threatened bird species in the Mt Lofty region

Bird species across the Mount Lofty region have been declining as a result of habitat clearance, degradation and the fragmentation of native vegetation.  With less than 10% of pre-European vegetation remaining in the Adelaide and Mount Lofty Ranges region, ecological management and restoration are necessary to ensure long-term survival of remaining bird populations.
