Facility guidelines
The requirements for each facility type at different physical containment levels are set out in the OGTR Handbook - Appendix 3 Guidelines for the Certification of Facilities/Physical Containment Requirements.

The facility types most relevant to research work within the university are listed below. For other facility types refer to the OGTR web site.

Personnel working in OGTR certified facilities are obliged to comply with their training requirements.
All GMOs must be transported in accordance with the OGTR Guidelines for the Transport of GMOs as current at the time of transport. The current version: Guidelines for the Transport, Storage and Disposal of GMOs. (effective 1 September 2011)
