Q: Do I need to provide my Tax File Number (TFN)?Answer:You are only required to provide your Tax File Number (TFN) if you are an Australian Citizen or on a Permanent Humanitarian Visa and intend on using the HECS-HELP or FEE-HELP loan schemes. HECS-HELP Students If you elected to defer all or part of your Student Contribution Amount and did not supply your Tax File Number (TFN) when you completed your enrolment checklist, you must do so by the census date of 31 March (Semester 1) or 31 August (Semester 2) otherwise your enrolment will be cancelled. You need to enter your TFN in Access Adelaide by resubmitting the Request for Commonwealth Support and HECS-HELP form: 1) Select the 'My Finances' Menu Your TFN is now recorded in the system. FEE-HELP Students If you are eligible for FEE-HELP and did not provide your Tax File Number when you completed your enrolment checklist you must do so by 31 March (Semester 1) and 31 August (Semester 2) otherwise you will be converted to a Full Fee Paying student and must pay the full fees for your program.
