Q: How is the Grade Point Average (GPA) calculated as part of the Unsatisfactory Academic Progress?

Answer:

Your GPA is the average of the grades obtained in all courses, weighted by the unit value of each course.
If you are enrolled in more than one program, you will have a Program GPA for each, calculated using the final grades for the courses associated with each program.

In accordance with the Unsatisfactory Academic Progress Policy, a GPA will be calculated each study period (semester or trimester) for each program that a student is enrolled in. Students who obtain a GPA of 2.8 or less in a study period will be contacted by the University.
