Q: How secure is my contact information in Staff Services Online (SSO)?Answer:You logon to SSO using your University network username and password (i.e. your 'a' number). This uses a secure login process. The username and password is stored on the University computers in an encrypted format. This means that even if you log in from home, any information sent between your home and the University is scrambled and cannot be interpreted by a third party. In addition, the SSO site has a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) certificate. This is shown by the lock symbol that appears on the bottom-right status bar of your browser when you are accessing this site. Your Manager and HR Service Centre staff who have access to your information are bound by the University's Privacy Policy & Management Plan
