Q: Why do I need to complete the EO training?
The core values of the University of Adelaide include a commitment the principles of social justice, equality of opportunity and diversity. Given that the University seeks to implement these values in the conduct of its activities and relationships, every staff member is strongly encouraged to explore and understand these issues.
Australian anti-discrimination laws make it ""unlawful"" to discriminate against or harass someone at work and in education. The University of Adelaide has a legal obligation under State and Federal discrimination and human rights legislation to provide a work and educational environment that is free from harassment, discrimination, bullying and vilification.
EO Online provides staff with the knowledge to perform their legal responsibilities as a member of the University Community.
