Q: My Long Service Leave balance reflects Pre 93 and Pre 78 balances. What do they mean and what is my actual Long Service Leave balance?Answer:Long Service Leave accrued prior to 1993 and 1978 are taxed differently on termination of employment. When Long Service Leave is taken it will take from the most recent leave accrued first. All 3 balances should be added together to reflect your total Long Service Leave balance.
