Q: Do both parents need to complete 12 months continuous service to be eligible for Shared Paid Parental Leave?
To be eligible for Shared Parental Leave you must:
-Be part of an employee couple (an employee couple is defined as two employees that are either the spouse or de facto partner of the other); and
-Both be on a fixed-term or continuing contracts of employment (this provision does not apply to casuals); and
-Have both been employed by the University for a continuous period of no less than one year.
