Draft Programme

1.       Please note that this is a draft program only and that changes may occur before the final program is printed prior to the conference in July.  For presenters’ convenience, we shall do our best to minimize any changes we are obliged to make.  If you have any enquiries about the program, please contact jean.fornasiero@adelaide.edu.au.

2.       Conference presentations will be in either French or English.  The title of the paper or workshop indicates the language of presentation.

3.       Demonstrations by commercial presenters are indicated by an asterisk.  While we welcome such presentations in the program, their inclusion does not constitute an endorsement of their business or their product(s) by FATFA.

4.       The conference begins on the evening of Friday 7 July with a Cocktail Reception.  This reception is free for all registered delegates to the conference.  If you have not already indicated on your registration form that you wish to attend, please contact jean.fornasiero@adelaide.edu.au,as it is important for catering purposes that we are aware of the actual numbers of delegates who will be attending.

5.       In conjunction with the conference, there will be a public lecture series entitled “The French Connection: Adelaide 2006”.  A debate on French and Australian Multiculturalism will take place as part of this series from 5.30-6.30 pm on Saturday 8 July, in a North Terrace campus location that is within walking distance of the National Wine Centre, (also on North Terrace) where the conference dinner will be held (7 for 7.30pm).  All conference delegates are invited to attend.

6.       All conference presentations on Saturday 8 July and Sunday 9 July will take place on the ground level, or the first and second floors of the Napier Building on the North Terrace campus of the University of Adelaide.  The Napier Building is a modern building which houses the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and which is close to the entrance to the campus at the intersection of North Terrace and Pulteney Street.
