Budget
This section has responsibility for:
- Preparation and oversight of the annual budget of the University.
- Allocation of the HEFA funds in accordance with budget directives, student fee-paying distribution.
- Maintenance of policy and procedure manuals applicable to budget processes, fixed assets, etc.

Reporting
This section has responsibility for:
- Preparation, analysis and commentary of the Monthly Management accounts.
- Preparation of the University's Annual Financial Statements including consolidation of all subsidiary entities.
- Development of financial reports to assist in analysis of financial activities of the University, be they by faculty, division, department, project.
- Maintenance of policy and procedure manuals applicable to financial reporting.

Projects
This section generally has staff members assigned on an ad hoc basis. Some of the activities that are undertaken are as follows:
- Budget model review.
- Integration of budgeting and planning.
- Provision of costing/pricing analysis and support to Faculties/Divisions.

The Treasury Officer is responsible for the management of University investments including shareholdings and both composite and non-composite funds.
