University Financial Planning Model (UFPM)
The University Financial Planning Model (UFPM) is the framework for making financial decisions based on alignment to the University's Strategic and Operational Goals.
It guides the development of the University Budget and financial plans.
Why are we undertaking this review?
The Planning and Budgeting Committee (PBC) is reviewing the Model to ensure the University is able to respond quickly and appropriately to changing circumstances.
The current Model has been in operation since 2003 and feedback suggest is has become complex and lacks transparency.
Since 2003 the University has grown significantly in both Student numbers and Research revenue.
Competition within the Higher Education sector continues to increase.
Who is involved?
The project will be coordinated by the Financial Services Branch. Tony Mitchell, Chief Financial Officer, is the Project Sponsor.
Key stakeholders involved in guiding the project include:
- Executive Deans and Vice Presidents through the Planning and Budgeting Committee (PBC)
-
Faculty and Divisional Finance Managers
