As technology advances infants who are born prematurely can be saved at younger and younger ages. Discovering and meeting the nutritional requirements of these infants is providing us with special challenges. In addition, changes to modern diets have resulted in nutritional shortcomings in the foods provided for term infants and toddlers. The need to optimise the nutritional intakes for children of all ages is a driving force behind our research in this area.
