Poster format and presentations

We will be having two days of poster sessions, one on Wednesday April 15th and one on Thursday April 16th.

Posters can be hung up on the provided poster walls during the morning of the respective poster session. Please refer to the Poster Schedule for the date and location of your poster (a hard copy will be provided with the registration documents in your conference bag.

Please make sure that your poster is hung up on the date of the session according to the Poster Schedule.

Poster Format

All posters should be prepared in an A0 "portait" (width=841mm × height=1189mm) format.

At the top of the poster should be the title which should be the same as the title of the submitted abstract. Below that should be a record of the authors and their respective affiliations.  We recommend that you use a font size of at least 16pt for legibility.

How to submit your abstract(s)

Abstracts for the 2009 GEOFLUIDS VI conference will be published by Elsevier's Journal of Geochemical Exploration.  All abstracts will be reviewed by members of the GEOFLUIDS VI Scientific and Organising Committees. Submission of multiple abstracts is possible.

Abstracts should be short and concise, limited to one page maximum (no figures, tables or references). Abstract submission will be through the Journal's Editorial website . Authors will need to register throug the regular paper submission routine of the journal.  For technical details on abstract submission please refer to the Journal's Turtorial for Authors.

Submission schedule for abstracts is:

October 31st 2008 early and student abstract submission to qualify for reduced student registration rate or $30 reduction of registration fee (see Conference Registration for details).

November 15th 2008 final date for submission of abstracts for review. Abstracts will be published in the Journal for Geochemical Exploration and will need to be reviewed befor final submission to the Journal. 

December 15th 2008 final deadline for submission of reviewed and corrected abstracts.

Abstracts should be submitted for oral and poster presentations

Abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific committee and authors will be notified of the outcome of the review in due course.

Papers

We are asking you to consider publishing your presentation in a special GEOFLUIDS VI issue of the "Journal of Geochemical Exploration". If you are interested in submitting a manuscript to the special issue please contact the conference coordinator, Andreas Schmidt Mumm

The Special Issue of papers related to the 2009 GEOFLUIDS conference will be published after the conference. We are looking for papers that cover the whole range of GEOFLUIDS topics to give a representative cross section of this field of Science.
