Our carefully selected expert panel includes University of Adelaide alumni who have developed outstanding careers in the fields of engineering and computer science. This opportunity will be of particular value to Indian students with an interest in working in engineering or a related field.

Quresh Vasanwala

Quresh Vasanwala is a Project Planner at the Southern Program Alliance Project (SPA) in Melbourne, working with Acciona Construction. He graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2015 with a Master of Engineering (Civil & Environmental), for which he was awarded the Ashok Khurana Scholarship.  Since graduation, Quresh has worked in a variety of roles with Maritime Constructions Pty Ltd, CPB Contractors, and now Acciona Construction. In addition to the Southern Program Alliance Project, Quresh has worked on a number of major Victorian infrastructure projects including the Caulfield to Dandenong Level Crossing Project ($450m) and 555 Collins ($300m).

 

Melvin John

Melvin John is the Senior Solution Architect at HomeStart Finance in Adelaide, South Australia. He graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2006 with a Master of Computer Science. He has more than 10 years of experience working on projects across private and public sector in South Australia. He is passionate about technology and using it to unlock and enhance business value.

Scott Smith

Professor Scott Smith is Deputy Dean (International) of the Faculty of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences at the University of Adelaide. This role is responsible for driving the internationalisation activities of the faculty across international research, education and engagement. His research interests include the application of advanced materials for the repair and strengthening of existing concrete, metallic and timber infrastructure; sustainable construction materials (i.e. bamboo, green concrete); extra-terrestrial construction; and engineering education.
