The Centre for Global Food and Resources has conducted extensive research with some of Australia’s leading agribusiness firms to develop a program that has effective integration of academic knowledge and industry application. The program helps students to develop the practical research, advisory and business skills necessary for careers in food and agricultural related industries. The Centre continues to receive ongoing input from leaders in agribusiness who sit on our Agribusiness Advisory Board.
The industry has an estimated value of $436 billion and employs approximately 1.4 million people.* The labour market outlook for agribusiness graduates in Australia should remain strong in the coming years and there have been as many as six openings per graduate in the field in recent years.^

Students develop the following skills: leadership and strategy, business and financial management, understanding global markets and food trends, innovation and global value chains and professional communication.
Such training equips students for careers in the increasingly complex and diverse local, national, and global value chain networks, including food retailers, food processors, banks and financial agencies, agricultural consultancy services, research centres, input suppliers and both government and non-government organisations.
The application process for this program involves the following steps:

The entry requirements include:
- Graduate entry only. Applicants must have a completed Bachelor degree in the field of Agriculture, Food or Business from a recognised University.
- Work experience. Applicants must have a minimum of 1 years full time equivalent work experience supported by their CV, essay and interview.
- English Language Requirements. International students are required to submit evidence of their proficiency in English. Domestic Students with a Bachelors degree that was not completed in English from an approved institution may be required to undertake an English language test.
Applicants with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any field can apply with a minimum of three years' full time equivalent work experience supported by their CV, essay and interview.
Applicants without a Bachelors degree or equivalent will be considered on the basis of a minimum of seven years full time equivalent work experience supported by their CV, essay and interview.
