Applying for a Higher Degree by Research
Application forms for research candidature and scholarships (domestic students) are available from the Graduate Centre or the Student Centre and are on the forms page.
If required, the application form for remote candidature is available on the forms page.
Completed forms should be lodged with the Graduate Centre.
Following receipt of advice from the Head of School about your suitability as an applicant and the availability of supervision and resources to support your candidature, a letter of offer (or refusal) will be forwarded to you.
Generally, the time taken from application to the issue of a letter of offer (or refusal) is between two and four weeks.
International applicants
Prospective international students are advised to contact the International Admissions Officer in the Graduate Centre for advice on admission procedures, scholarship opportunities and fees. Contact details are provided at the end of this Handbook.
As an international applicant, in addition to satisfying the English proficiency and academic requirements for admission to the satisfaction of the University, you must also provide assurance to the Australian immigration authorities that you have adequate financial resources to undertake your studies.
