Minor Review of Progress for Remote Candidates
If you are a remote candidate, you will be required to undertake a minor review of progress. The minor review is due on the 15th April each year and is essentially a second annual review. The greater frequency of reviews that you are required to undertake as a remote student reflects the University’s responsibility to ensure that, despite your external location, you are continuing to make satisfactory progress towards completion of your research program and that you are not being unduly hindered by the quality of the facilities, resources and supervision available to you at the remote location. If you enrol as, or change to, remote candidature in January, February or March, you are exempt from the minor review in your year of enrolment/change to remote candidature.
If it appears likely that you will not be able to have your review completed by 15 April, your principal supervisor should arrange for an extension of the deadline by contacting the Graduate Centre on 8303 5882 or by email
