RED Programs for HDR Candidates

The Researcher Education & Development unit assists HDR candidates to develop high-level learning and communication skills relevant to their own areas of research.

We provide online modules and workshops on issues that are relevant to broad groupings of HDR candidates. We also work with Faculty, School and Discipline staff to run workshops that contribute to structured programs offered within your Discipline or Faculty. Some individual consultations are also available.

Our resources connect you to information and training opportunities that are directly relevant to your needs as a research student.

You will receive news of upcoming RED workshops, and of new online modules as they are launched, by email each fortnight in the AGC News .

We also provide the Integrated Bridging Program - Research (IBP-R) for international research students.

We are located on Level 6 of the Wyatt Building, 115 Grenfell Street.

Each semester the Adelaide Graduate Centre runs an Induction Program for PhD and Masters by Research students. The Induction is usually held on the last day of Orientation Week in both semester 1 and semester 2. The induction is an invaluable introduction to life as a research postgraduate at the University of Adelaide.

It is compulsory for all PhD and Masters by Research students to attend an induction session within the first 6 months of their candidature. For more detailed information on the Induction Program, and to register for it (once registrations are opened), see here.

Copies of the presentations given in the first part of the Induction Program are available on-line here.

In 2009 we are offering our regular face-to-face workshop sessions.  For full time and venue information see our program details here.

All face-to-face sessions are held in the seminar room of the Adelaide Graduate Centre, which is on Level 6, 115 Grenfell St. You can find us using this map.
