Australian Postgraduate Award Industry (APAI) - Milk Components

The University of Adelaide seeks a PhD candidate to join a project funded by the Australian Research Council in collaboration with the South Australian Research and Development Institute, MG Nutritionals Ltd and other industry partners. The successful candidate will isolate and characterise components of milk shown to have potential for the sustainable control of powdery mildew and botrytis mould of grapes and vegetables. The project will be supervised by Professor Dennis Taylor, Associate Professor Eileen Scott and Professor Otto Schmidt.

Value: $26,140 per annum in 2008 (tax free) for up to three years, plus operating allowance. Start date is negotiable, preferably between December 2008 - January 2009.
