Multidisciplinary - Full HDR Scholarships

Australian Postgraduate Awards are available to domestic students with a First Class Honours result or equivalent, to support their study towards a Higher Degree by Research. Awards are available in all Discipline areas.

Value: approximately $24,653 per annum (2013 rate) tax free for up to 3 years (indexed annually).

To Apply: The awards are allocated as part of the Mid Year and Major Round of scholarship applications.

Divisional Scholarships

Eligibility usually requires a minimum of a Second Class Honours degree or equivalent and applicants must be Citizens or Permanent Residents of Australia prior to the closing date.

Scholarships are offered on the basis of academic merit and Faculties may also consider area of research when selecting recipients.

Discussion with a potential supervisor is also recommended prior to application for a Divisional Scholarship.

Value: $24,653 per annum (2013 rate) tax free for up to 3 years (indexed annually).

Conditions of Research Award

Up to two postgraduate research scholarships will be offered annually for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

Eligibility: Students must be enrolled, or seeking to enrol, in a research higher degree at the University of Adelaide, have completed at least four years of tertiary education studies at a high level of achievement and hold as a minimum a good Second Class Honours degree (or equivalent). Students who are currently enrolled in higher degree by research and have not held a scholarship previously may also be considered.

Value: $29,728 per annum for up to 3 years (2012 rate)

Current Status: Applications open 1st September 2012.

Applications for the Master of Philosophy (No Honours) Scholarships are accepted in the Mid Year and Major Round of applications.

These Scholarships providing a living allowance for a period of 2 years, and are directed towards candidates who have completed and been awarded a relevant Bachelor Degree or equivalent with an achieved minimum of a distinction average and have not completed an Honours Degree.

Value: $20,000pa
