The Zelling-Gray Scholarships in LawThe Honourable Justice Tom Gray and the late Honourable Dr Howard E Zelling, AO, CBE have donated funds to the University to encourage postgraduate study in any one or more of constitutional law, administrative law, commercial law, legal history, law reform and comparative law. The University of Adelaide and The Law Foundation of South Australia have agreed to supplement the Zelling and Gray contributions, allowing the University of Adelaide to offer a scholarship to support a student studying towards a Doctor of Philosophy in Law in 2009. Applicants must be undertaking study in one of the above discipline areas on a full-time basis, hold a good Honours degree (or equivalent) and be acceptable for candidature at the University of Adelaide. Applicants who apply for an Australian Postgraduate Award in a relevant discipline area will be automatically considered. The awards are subject to funding availability and suitability of applicants and the University reserves the right not to offer an award in any year. Value: The value of the scholarships will be determined on a case by case basis, but may include a living allowance and/or payment of tuition fees up to the value of $22,000 per annum (tax free). Closing Date: 31 October 2008. The awards are allocated as part of the Major Round of applications. Please write 'Zelling-Gray Scholarship' in the section marked 'other'. Eligible applications will be forwarded to The Zelling-Gray Scholarships in Law selection committee for consideration.
