Research Abroad Scholarship

A special fund is set aside from the Research Budget for the purpose of supporting research travel overseas by enrolled research students. The total value of the scholarship is $1,500, plus a minimum of $500 of which is funded by the applicant’s Discipline/School. This scheme is subject to funding and the University reserves the right not to make offers in any given year.

Eligibility: Students must be full-time and enrolled in an approved research higher degree at the University of Adelaide. They must not have held a Research Abroad Scholarship previously and must have study leave approved by the Department and the University. Travel must be relevant to the course of study they are undertaking.

Closing Date: There are two rounds per year closing on 31 January and 31 July for travel in the proceeding 6 months.
