Welcome

Welcome to the website of the 55th annual conference of the Genetics Society of AustralAsia.

The 2008 conference of the GSA will be held in Adelaide, Australia. The meeting will begin with a welcoming reception on the evening of Monday, July 7 and continue with three full days of symposia and concurrent sessions on July 8-10. The site for the meeting is the North Terrace Campus of the University of Adelaide, situated in the city centre.

Early registration and abstract submission deadline: 1 May 2008.

Welcoming Reception

The welcoming reception will take place in the foyer of the South Australian Museum on Monday, 7 July 2008, 7-9 PM. The registration desk will be open during this time and each morning during the conference.

Student Travel Awards

Third-year undergraduate students may apply for a travel award to attend the conference (closing date: 21 April 2008). Download the application instructions here.

National Youth Science Forum

This year, the National Youth Science Forum, a two-week programme for students moving into Year 12 who are thinking about a career in science, engineering and technology, overlaps with the GSA conference. Several GSA2008 speakers will be talking to these students about themselves and their research on Thursday, July 10, 12:30-2 PM in the Rennie Lecture Theatre.
