The research team combines expertise in health economics, statistics, and health services research to address this complex area.

Associate Professor Jonathan Karnon provides expertise in health economics, particularly in the application of model-based approaches to evaluating efficiency with synthesised data.

Principal epidemiologist Paul Hakendorf has extensive statistical experience in accessing and analysing patient-based databases.

Professor David Ben-Tovim has expertise in clinical epidemiology, relating patterns of disease and the provision of health services, and led the Redesigning Care program at Flinders Medical Centre, which has expanded to engage with broader issues of health care delivery.

Professor Maria Crotty is Head of the Department of Rehabilitation & Aged Care at Flinders University, with particular expertise in research of relevance to older patient groups, who are likely to comprise key patient groups in this research.

Associate Professor Simon Eckermann is a health economist who has developed policy relevant health economic research methods, as well as applied experience in designing and analysing health economic evaluations.

We are currently reviewing applications for two research positions, a health services researcher and a health economist.
