Headstart

Have you ever thought it would be handy to know what university is like before you actually start your degree?

The University of Adelaide's Headstart Scholarship gives students a taste of university study while they're still completing high school.

Launched in 2001, the Headstart Scholarship Program has been developed in consultation with schools to meet the needs of gifted and exceptionally motivated secondary school students who require a challenge beyond the Year 12 curriculum.

Students who take up the offer of a Headstart Scholarship may benefit from and contribute to the intellectual and diverse cultural life of the University. Headstart is offered only at the University's North Terrace campus.

There will be two entry points for the Headstart program in 2010. Students who are unable to apply to the Headstart program in semester 1 will be able to apply for courses in semester 2.

Closing dates for Headstart applications are as follows:
Semester 1 courses:  Wednesday, 10 February 2010
Semester 2 courses:  Wednesday, 7 July 2010
