Portable Laptop, Notebook Computer or Multiple Function Electronic DeviceEligible employees have the option of entering into a salary packaging arrangement whereby they agree to a reduction in taxable salary in return for purchasing a portable laptop, notebook computer or multiple function portable electronic device. The item purchased must be primarily for use in the employee’s employment. To be able to salary sacrifice the item a valid tax invoice with the staff member’s name clearly stated will be required. The total cost involved in salary packaging the portable laptop, notebook computer or multiple function portable electronic device will be deducted from an employee's pay in the least number of pay periods. The number of pay periods will depend upon the staff member's available taxable income.
