Program Overview

Conflict between staff members or between staff and students may occasionally be manifested in behaviour best described as inappropriate. This workshop explores the role that managers play in the early intervention of grievances that are reported to them or that they observe. The program equips managers with the knowledge and skills to be able to prevent and/or deal with problems should they arise.

Learning Outcomes

  • Overview of the University's expectations regarding appropriate behaviour (code of conduct, etc).
  • Better identify the line between inappropriate and appropriate behaviours.
  • Know what to do when inappropriate behaviour occurs.
  • Bring people together to resolve conflict and achieve positive outcomes.

Who should attend?

Managers and/or supervisors who want to improve their skills in dealing with inappropriate behaviour in the workplace.
