Coaching for Performance Excellence

Program Overview

The program focuses on coaching related behaviours that directly foster performance based results and the leadership skills which underpin a performance excellence culture.

The program: (1) explores what it means to lead a team that must distinguish performance outcomes; (2) defines what performance expectations look like in the workplace for different staff; and (3) emphasises being clear in work related expectations and not focusing on individual style/personality differences.

Learning Outcomes

  • An overview on coaching disciplines, and practice applying a new set of coaching tools, techniques and processes to address real performance situations in the workplace.
  • The skills and confidence to identify, lead and influence purposeful coaching conversations with staff, colleagues and stakeholders.
  • The confidence and capability to successfully enter and navigate through challenging conversations that would have previously been avoided or handled with limited success.
  • The ability to influence and network effectively throughout the University to effect change.
