Communicating with Influence

Program Overview

This workshop is designed to support leaders to develop and enhance their ability to Communicate with Influence and Impact. Participants will learn the practical skills to assist them to communicate effectively and influence others' thinking, attitude and action through convincing dialogue.

Participants will be provided with the tools needed to enhance their personal profile, to increase professional visibility, to fine-tune communication & interpersonal interactions, as well as enhance visual credibility and presence.

This program is closely linked to the Communicating with Impact and Influence critical leadership Capability with emphasis on practical outcomes rather than theoretical learning.

Nomination Criteria

• Have the responsibility of managing others
• A willingness to develop the skills to communicate with influence
• Be prepared to commit to the full program
• Program One restricted to Senior Leaders
• Program Two available to all Leaders

Learning Outcomes

Participants will learn how to:

• develop clear messages and deliver them in an engaging way
• boldly and succinctly articulate a compelling "picture"
• listen to improve two-way communication;
• handle questions
• manage non-verbal behaviours
• develop a climate of open communication that increases the motivation and commitment of your team

Program Format

This program is delivered over two consecutive days from 9:00am - 5:00pm

2012 Dates

Program One: 31 July & 1 August (Restricted to Senior Leaders)
Program Two: 2 & 3 October (For all Leaders)
