Upgrade to a Diploma of Management
Leading at Adelaide's Impact Leadership program has been designed to support Frontline Leaders (Team leaders and Supervisors). The program builds foundation leadership skills providing participants with practical tools and strategies to get the most out of their teams and overcome many leadership challenges.
Impact leadership looks at the real issues faced by University of Adelaide leaders in our workplace and assists participants in discovering relevant solutions to these issues. Participants are supported to establish strategies and implement their learning back in to the workplace.
Participants have the opportunity to upgrade their enrolment and work towards a Diploma of Management.
As a result of this program frontline leaders will have:
- simple structures and strategies to more effectively communicate with individuals or in a group situation
- increased awareness of personal behavioural style and that of colleagues, with a strategy in place to improve interpersonal relationships with those around them
- effective strategies to manage priorities, change processes and create a more positive workplace culture
- ability to prepare for, deliver and resolve ongoing workplace issues with clear action plans for staff involved
- ability to manage the recruitment and selection of new staff members
- the skills to priorities their workload and focus on the things that are truly important
- increased project and risk management skills
The program is seven days run in three sets of two-day modules finishing with an implementation day approximately three months after day six. Each workshop targets the development of specific skills and areas. Attendance is compulsory for all seven days.
