Multicultural Action Plan

The University of Adelaide community is vibrant and diverse, reflecting a broad range of cultures, languages and beliefs, yet we are unified through our passion for knowledge and discovery, and our values of fairness, integrity and engagement.
As an institution of higher learning, the University is recognised as a leader in challenging cultural boundaries.  We will continue to drive innovation and creativity through the unique contribution that individual staff and students bring to our broader University community every day.

The Multicultural Action Plan outlines the University of Adelaide’s commitment to cultural diversity.

Every student and staff member has a role to play in building a University of Adelaide culture that is based on principles of tolerance, justice and inclusiveness.
 

Our Aims

The Multicultural Action Plan will support the University of Adelaide’s aims to:

• Foster an inclusive and respectful environment for all students, staff and visitors
• Establish a responsive, coordinated and systematic approach to the culturally diverse needs of staff and students
• Embrace the contribution of people from all backgrounds and acknowledge their rich cultural diversity
• Attract and retain the best staff and students from culturally diverse backgrounds
