Plans and reports
There are a number of plans and reports relating to equity and diversity they include:
- University of Adelaide Diversity Management Plan 2005-2007: Management of Equity and Diversity Principles in Employment (updated)
The Plan provides a framework that sets goals and strategies that will in a systematic way, identify and remove barriers to full participation in University activities by staff of the University.
The GED Committee has overseen the development of the Plan and seeks to implement the plan across the University in a staged manner over the next three years. Executive Deans of Faculties, Heads of School, Executive Directors of Divisions and General Managers will be asked to identify appropriate strategies for their areas and to draw their Equity and Diversity initiatives from this plan.
- Career Life Balance Network Report
The former Division of Student and Staff Services conducted a pilot Career/Life Balance Network involving staff from each of the branches within the Division from September to December 2006.
The overall purposes of the Pilot were to, discuss issues relating to 'career/work/life balance', identify key issues of concern and propose potential strategies to promote work/life balance in the Division. This report provides a summary of the activities and recommendations of the Network. The recommendations of the report were approved and will be implemented in 2007.
- The Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workforce Act Compliance Report
The Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Act 1999 requires the University to submit an annual compliance report to the Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency (EOWA).
