RMSS Overview

RMSS is a web-based software system used to manage HSW systems and data across all areas of the University. The Risk Manager provides a framework that allows for the standardisation of safety processes, reducing both the cost of compliance and overall enterprise wide risk, and providing efficient analysis of the performance of the HSW management system using consistent business processes.

RMSS Access

RMSS is a web-based application that is accessed using Internet Explorer located at http://adelaideuni.theriskmanager.com.au/theriskmanager. It can also be found in your Internet Explorer Favourites under:

• [Windows 2000] University of Adelaide → Health, Safety and Wellbeing → Risk Management Safety System; or
• [Vista] Life Impact The University of Adelaide → Health, Safety and Wellbeing → Risk Management Safety System

Staff and higher degree students can obtain a user name and password for RMSS by sending a request to RMSS Support [rmss.support@adelaide.edu.au] with the following information:

1. Staff/student number (e.g. a1234567)
2. Name (first and last)
3. Staff email address (if different from the one you are sending from)
4. School

A user name and password will be then forwarded within two working days along with a set of notes on completing a risk assessment in RMSS. Training sessions for RMSS are available- details of these are listed in the training section.

IT Platforms

Suitable with internet Explorer 7
Suitable with Internet Explorer 8 (need to activate ASPx button)
Not suitable with Firefox
