The Performance Improvement Guide provides managers and staff with guidance on how to prepare for and plan performance improvement discussions and objective setting.
The foremost objective is to support and work with the staff member to get
them back on track and working to the required performance standard or in the
case where this is not achievable, to determine an acceptable way forward. With
this in mind, effort should be made to resolve issues of unsatisfactory performance
through the PDR process.
