Advertise and/or search for suitable candidates
Once the recruitment process has been mapped out, the next step is to complete an Advertising form, which brings together all the key information required for approval to fill a position. This includes:
- position data
- the process by which candidates will be attracted to the position
- supporting documentation
- any requirement for a pre-employment medical
- faculty funding
The form, with all its supporting documentation, must be submitted to Human Resources. Where the position is to be advertised in the press, the deadline for receipt of the above information by 5.00pm Thursday, to go in the press of Saturday of the following week, or appropriate date thereafter. Publication will be delayed if complete documentation is not received in Human Resources.
These proformas may be varied to meet the specific needs of a position, but any advertisement should cover the key points shown in the appropriate example.
This step involves corresponding with applicants to advise them of the receipt of their application and that the selection process continues.
